Make the pattern work for your project
Customise my surface patterns to fit your interior design scheme
Found the perfect pattern, but the colours aren’t quite right? Need a smaller scale for curtains or a larger repeat for wallpaper? Or perhaps the pattern would work beautifully if it were rotated?
My alteration service allows you to customise selected surface patterns to suit your interior design project — without starting the pattern search all over again.
Choose a pattern from my collections, then ask me to recolour, resize or rotate it to better match your client’s space, colour scheme and overall design concept.
Recolour
Need a specific colour to tie your scheme together?
I can recolour a pattern to work with your chosen palette. You just send me the hexcode of the colour.
This makes it easier to coordinate a pattern with your existing fabrics, furniture, paint colours or other elements of the room.
Resize
The scale of a pattern can completely change how it feels in a space.
I can resize a design to create the right visual impact for your project — whether you need a more delicate repeat for a smaller area or a larger-scale statement pattern for wallpaper, curtains, bedding or upholstery.
Rotate
Sometimes the pattern is right, but the direction isn’t.
Ask me to rotate a design so that it works better with the application or orientation you have in mind.
This can be particularly useful when adapting a pattern for different surfaces and interior applications.
Why customise instead of starting from scratch?
Finding a pattern that is almost right can mean spending hours searching for alternatives.
With my alteration service, you can start with a design you already love and adjust it to your project.
Save sourcing time. Keep your favourite pattern. Make it work for your scheme.
How the alteration service works
1. Choose your pattern
Browse my collections and find a design that suits your project.
2. Decide what needs changing
You can request a recolour, resize or rotation — or combine several alterations if needed.
3. Complete the alteration form
Tell me about the changes you’d like. For colour alterations I need the hex codes of the desired colours.
More information on how to find these codes can be found in my blog post: “Make it work for your project: Custom surface pattern designs for interior designers“.
You can request changes to up to five designs per alteration form.
4. I’ll create your customised version
I’ll make the requested adjustments and prepare the altered design for you.
Please allow 24–72 hours, depending on my current workload, the complexity of the pattern and whether I am away for holidays.
5. Use it in your project
Your customised pattern can then become part of your wider interior scheme — alongside coordinating designs from the collection.

Save time finding patterns that work together
You’ve found the perfect pattern for your client’s interior design project.
But now you need to find coordinating patterns to complete the scheme.
Finding patterns that work well together in colour, scale and style can be surprisingly time-consuming.
That’s where I can help.
Send me your starting pattern along with a few details about your project, your preferred colours, style and what you’re looking for. I know my Spoonflower collections and the designs within them, so I can use that knowledge to find patterns that work well with your starting design.
Simply make a few selections and clicks in the form to submit your request. I’ll then curate a customised selection from my existing designs to help you create a cohesive pattern scheme.
I don’t create new patterns for this service — I work with the patterns already available in my Spoonflower collections.
Save sourcing time, reduce the guesswork and give your client a more considered, coordinated interior.
